Due Diligence for Managers & Supervisors

Understanding The Act & The Role You Play

Overview
Are all accidents avoidable? Some people would consider accidents a fact of life. However I think most of us would agree that serious accidents, critical injuries or death due to negligence in the workplace are unacceptable. A safe work place, and working safely, begins and ends with you. Owners, managers and supervisors need to work in partnership with their safety committee to ensure a safe work environment for everyone.

The Occupational Health and Safety Act came into force in October 1979. Its purpose is to protect workers against health and safety hazards on the job by establishing certain duties and obligations that all stakeholders must follow. This "Due Diligence" workshop has been developed to help owners and management understand their role under the Act and what constitutes compliance.

“Very informative. Now I know what my obligations and responsibilities are. Thank you Brian. You made this workshop both informative and entertaining.”
